Dr. Melanie Ann Richburg is the CEO of Lynn County Healthcare System in Tahoka, Texas. With a career spanning over two decades in rural healthcare, Melanie served as a Family Nurse Practitioner at the Family Wellness Clinic Rural Health Clinic for 16 years before transitioning to her leadership role in 2018. A champion for rural communities, she moved to Tahoka in 2005 and has been dedicated to improving healthcare access ever since.

In 2020, Melanie co-authored two telemedicine grants, securing funding from both the FCC and USDA, helping to equip schools, nursing homes, and jails with telemedicine technology. Under her guidance, Lynn County Healthcare System has expanded its reach, opening new primary care clinics in Post, Borden County, and New Home further realizing the system's vision of "Healthcare Closer to Home".

Raised on a 180-acre cotton farm in rural West Texas, Melanie's deep-rooted connection to rural America is reflected in her life's work. She is passionate about providing quality healthcare to underserved areas and considers it a privilege to give back to the community that shaped her. Living by the motto, "Love what you do, and do what you love," Melanie finds joy every day in making a difference in rural healthcare.
